In a dramatic hard fought game against DeSmet the B-Team Griffins won the Rockwood Summit J.V. tournament on an overtime goal scored by Ryan Delbert. Sam Haseltine and the Griffin defense work together to record another shutout victory. To get to the championship game the Griffins defeated Eureka 1-0 in the semifinals and the host team Rockwood Summit 4-0 in the opening round. The Freshman Soccer Team defeated C.B.C. yesterday in the semi-finals of their tournament 2-1. The victory came in double overtime when Pat Jordan converted a Teddy Rule throwin. The Freshman Soccer Team defeated Rockwood Summit yesterday 6 – 0 for their fourth consecutive shutout victory. Goals were scored by Teddy Rule, two by Brett Basler and a hat trick for Richard Darhauer. Connor Sparrow, Jeff Robben and Kyle Kuhlmann recorded the shutout.

The B – Soccer team opened the season with a strong showing in the MCC tournament. The Griffins finished the tournament with a 2-1 record with victories over DeSmet and Oakville. Goals were scored by Jason Grant (2), Ryan Wakeman, Josh Hubert, Timmy Varnum, and Sam Arcipowski. Congratulations to the B- Team Griffins on a great start to the season.
